My Story
Originally from Chile, music has always been an important part of my life. I started playing guitar at the age of 12 and went on to play in several bands while continuing to develop my style and musicianship.
I stepped away from music for a while during my civil engineering studies, but since moving to New Zealand in 2022 I have become much more active again, performing both solo and with bands. I also began singing, which has become an important part of my live performances.
My music
Today I perform a mix of acoustic rock, soft rock and ballads, with relaxed versions of well-known songs in both English and Spanish.
Community events are an important part of what I do. I enjoy playing at local events, libraries, markets and celebrations, from Matariki gatherings and winter Christmas markets to relaxed afternoon performances. My aim is always to create a warm and friendly atmosphere with familiar music.
My repertoire also includes material suited to cafés, clubs, private events and other small venues. It features songs by artists such as Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bob Dylan and Fleetwood Mac, alongside acoustic versions of 90s and early-2000s rock from artists including Guns N’ Roses, Pearl Jam, Oasis and many others.
I also perform in Spanish, mainly soft rock, Latin rock and ballads. This allows me to offer an English set, a Spanish set, or a mix of both depending on the event and audience.
My style is best suited to relaxed and intimate settings. The focus is on songs people recognise, enjoy and can sing along with, rather than dance or party music.
One of my side projects is a collection inspired by Noel Gallagher’s acoustic performances of Oasis songs, including Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back in Anger, Live Forever, Cast No Shadow, Don’t Go Away and Stop Crying Your Heart Out. The idea is to bring some of those stripped-back arrangements into a simple and intimate live set.
